Crawford Democrats organize Voter Rights Rally
Crawford County Democrats are organizing a Voter Rights Rally in opposition to the controversial state law which would require all voters to submit a valid photo ID in order to vote in November’s general election. The rally will take place in Diamond Park, in Meadville, on Saturday, August 18th at noon.
Local Democratic Party Chair Diane Adsit says Voter ID would suppress votes from minorities and senior citizens, and would destroy union workers.
Voter ID has been challenged in Commonwealth Court. A judge is expected to rule on a preliminary injunction by August 13th.
