Mercer County teens injured in crash

State Police based in Mercer say two teenagers were injured in an early Wednesday morning crash.  18-year-old Derek Lee Richael, of Stoneboro, was driving over the speed limit on Irish Road near Borland Road at around 3:00 yesterday morning when he lost control and his SUV flipped onto its roof.

Police say Richael had serious injuries to his neck, head, and back.  A passenger, who is under 18, had minor injuries.  Both were taken to UMPC Horizon in Greenville for treatment.

Police say the teens were at an underage drinking party, and could face drinking related charges pending test results.
