Resurfacing project to improve Route 8 in Crawford County
A resurfacing project that will give motorists a smoother ride on portions of State Route 8 in Crawford County is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 16.
The project is located in Bloomfield Township and extends from a point near the intersection with Lake Road/Church Road (SR 1024, T-302) to the Crawford/Erie County line.
The contractor is Glenn O. Hawbaker of State College, Pa. The contract cost is $1,185,983, which will be paid entirely with federal funds.
Work is scheduled to start on State Route 8 on Monday, July 16, and be completed by early September.
Traffic Impact: Traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by flaggers during construction.
PennDOT urges motorists to be alert to flagging operations, slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
