Woman loses money in dog buying scam
A dog that never showed up is at the center of an investigation by Franklin state police. Troopers are investigating a Franklin woman’s claims she was promised a Siberian Husky, wired funds to an unknown dealer, and never received the dog.
State Trooper Michelle McGee, from the Meadville barracks, says transactions that require money to be transferred over a wire such as Western Union are typically frauds and people should always err on the side of caution when responding to suspicious bargains.
