First lawsuit against Sandusky filed
The first lawsuit against former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was filed on Wednesday.
The new accuser said the coach abused him sexually “over a 100 times” as a child.
The 29-year-old man launched the lawsuit in Philadelphia’s Common Pleas Court against Sandusky, Penn State University and The Second Mile.
The Second Mile is a charity founded by Sandusky to help troubled children.
Although the man is the ninth alleged victim to accuse Sandusky of abuse, this lawsuit is the first filed in the scandal.
Sandusky said in a television interview this month that he is innocent and that he is not a pedophile.
Sandusky’s lawyer, Joe Amendola, was not available to comment.
